Popis Skin damage has drastically increased among healthcare professionals (HCPs) using personal protective equipment (PPE) in the last two years, resulting in serious complications. Since the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, frontline HCPs, who have been taking care of patients infected by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus – 2 (SARS-CoV-2), were obliged to spend most of their working hours using PPE. PPE encompasses a variety of devices including protective filtering respirator such as a N95 mask, eye protection, e.g. glasses, fitted facial shields and/or protective suits, which are specially designed to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses.
