The mission of EOSC United is to anchor and unite the European research community in the EOSC Federation, and to boost its establishment and growth by leveraging the EOSC EU Node resources and blueprints.
EOSC United will support the EC and the EOSC EU Node contractors to increase uptake of the EOSC EU Node resources by promoting the EOSC EU Node offering to researchers (via multipliers) and contributors (including repositories, research infrastructures, technology and infrastructure providers, software developers and IT professionals, industry partners and the other EOSC Nodes and data spaces operators). The project will facilitate user engagement via use cases and adoption calls in close collaboration with the recently awarded EOSC Gravity project. An early demonstration of the success of the EOSC EU Node, seen as an enabler of the EOSC Federation, and a broad uptake of its services by a diverse research community will contribute to strengthening the position of EOSC in the European Union’s 10th Framework Programme (FP10).
EOSC United will support the EOSC Tripartite Governance in understanding user feedback on the EOSC EU Node and providing recommendations for its evolution. The recommendations will be elaborated in close collaboration with the users and discussed with the EOSC Tripartite Governance and the EC. The recommendations could be used as input for the next procurement action of the EOSC EU Node and for the EOSC post-2027 governance and funding discussions.
