Masaryk University has become an unmissable force in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) thanks to the installation of NVIDIA DGX H100 computing system in our CERIT-SC research center. It provides not only extremely powerful computing capacities unseen in the Czech Republic, but also innovative possibilities for science and research.
The new NVIDIA DGX H100 system enables close cooperation with scientists and researchers through the e-INFRA CZ infrastructure. It brings together leading research centers and institutions from the Czech Republic that specialize in advanced computing technologies and research in the field of artificial intelligence.
What makes the system unique? Its architecture is designed to be able to process huge amounts of data and significantly speed up computing tasks. Thanks to high-performance memory subsystems in graphics accelerators, it provides fast access to data and optimizes performance when working with large datasets. One of its exceptional features is also the ability to process data in parallel, which enables fast development and training of demanding AI models.

The use of the NVIDIA DGX H100 system includes, for example, speech analysis, 3D image reconstruction and the detection of neurodegenerative diseases. The acquisition costs amounted to 11 million crowns and were co-financed from European funds. Technical parameters are specified in the graphic below.
