The project responds to current developments in Industry 4.0 and focuses on research and development of software for simulation and testing of manufacturing execution system components. The aim of the project is to create tools for testing manufacturing execution systems and detecting errors threatening their functionality, stability, and security. The project will create a simulation environment (digital twin manufacturing plant) including production facilities, terminals, and a complete manufacturing execution system. Based on real observations, a model of production organization will be prepared, which will be used to build test scenarios. The implementation of test scenarios will be automated, and individual industrial component simulators will faithfully mimic the real-world systems used in production control.
