Výzkumný úkol je orientován na vzájemné propojení preparativního a strukturního výzkumu anorganických sloučenin s důrazem na zavedení a zvládnutí moderních metodik RTG strukturního výzkumu. Proponovanými metodikami jesou RTG strukturní analýza při nízkých teplotách, výpočty deformačních (nábojových) elektronových hustot a jejich srovnání s kvantově chemickými výpočty, případně zpětná interpretace reaktivity sloučenin se strukturními poznatky. Předmětem výzkumu budou hlavní sloučeniny dusíku, fosforu, síry a selenu.
