| Description | Building "Digital universities" began years ago in study administration and e-learning domains, and after some hesitation began penetrating other areas of university life. In this paper, we focus on digitizing university data and processes in the economics and operation domains. We introduce "Masaryk University Inet", an intranet system containing a wide range of administrative applications including human resources and wages (attendance administration, time sheets, bonus proposals), economics, assets and project administration (travel forms, orders, invoices, assets disposal, project proposals), or an inspection system (inspection plans and carried-out inspections). Individual digitized areas are integrated within the Inet system in Signature book, a common agenda joining all the relevant information on all ongoing processes in one place. Besides the intranet system, Signature book is also available as a standalone application for mobile devices. Finally at the conclusion of this paper, we outline further plans and formulate a few general recommendations and warnings. |
